This American Life

Excellent podcast. Life is here. Every episode. I wish this message could get to the woman and this episode who has to live with so many roaches. Powdered Borax, the laundry booster. Put it down behind everything, in all the cracks, but not where children or pets can get at it. You don’t want them to breathe it in.

I’ve been a fan since the early 2000s when it was still a radio show. I’d sit in my car waiting for the episode to end. Hands down my favourite, but as a Canadian I can’t be a subscriber (now). Hopefully again in the future.

These are stories that we need to hear. Even when the subject matter is hard, it’s hard to stop listening. The work is brave and diverse, and the voices are clear. As a Canadian I’m thankful to hear this perspective. This show informs my concept of our US neighbours and reminds me to see the human in everyone.

I can’t say enough good things about this podcast. The stories This American Life tells are never dull, frequently funny, often thought provoking and always, always relevant. It has caused me to reflect on and empathize with other people’s experiences. I appreciate the wide range of topics and perspectives. My whole family turns to this show for entertainment and quality reporting. I hope Ira Glass doesn’t plan on retiring any time soon.
