I don’t understand why this wasn’t investigated further. I’m blown away that not more DNA evidence was tested, also the digital data from Jades phone! Why? Why? I hate to say that this town sounds very backwards as far as being able to properly handle a murder investigation. They have allowed the meth, and drug issues to wear them down. They just wanted to wrap this investigation up in a few days. Not willing to put any real effort into proving beyond a shadow of doubt!

This is such a good podcast. I just wish it wasn’t a true story . My first reaction is anger, then heartbreak… The podcast team did what law enforcement should have. … the question is is why? Why wouldn’t they want to do a thorough investigation? Why wouldn’t they want to make sure they had the right person? And What was going on in the minds of her inadequate defense attorneys? There’s nothing that can bring this woman’s life back to what it was. Her partners moved on. Her baby has been taken away. She’s had to deal with prejudice and hate. She’s been separated from her other children. How do some people live with themselves?

Really didn’t like this podcast at all. Not sure she did much research on this murder. Very slow. She goes into things that have little relevance on the case in great detail while not focusing on the evidence. It’s really a mess.

that this young woman received such careless, UNFAIR and inhumane treatment from “trusted adults” posing as Civil Servants who, it seems, were more interested in a conviction than finding the TRUTH about who the actual killer was. That human beings can be so self-serving, more interested in the APPEARANCE of sincere and diligent effort than being dedicated to HONESTLY protecting the innocent, is very UPSETTING and CONCERNING. It also brings into question the true character of those in Official positions involved either this case. If these were my hometown Officials I would feel deep shame, disappointment and insecurity to have such people hold such respected and revered positions as protectors of the community. The reporting and tireless diligence of this Podcaster and her sidekick was AMAZING‼️ I didn’t want to quit listening! Their tirelessness and commitment to searching for the Truth of this murder gives much reason for hope and faith that there ARE those watching, listening listening and ready to investigate what appears to be Justice Denied. We all fall short of the glory of God, but it was disappointing to hear that this community is considered to be majority “Christian”. As a fellow Christ Follower and imperfect sinner, I pray that there were those bold and brave enough to reach out in love to this mistreated mother of 4 and stepmother to 1. How very disappointing and unlike Christ that Julie’s husband abandoned her from the very outset. The pain of having him turn his back on her at the very time they both needed one another paints a very sad and confusing picture (IF this young man considers himself to be a Christian). I WAS very impressed and uplifted by his Aunt and Cousin (?) and their humility in acknowledging that if they were proven wrong that they would go to Julie and apologize. Hearing their interview, I did sense a reflection of Christ in their words. The confidence expressed by the younger woman that Julie was guilty did leave me feeling that there was a bit of arrogance and lack of grace in her judgement. I pray for Julie, and all those who Truly love her, that the panel of judges will have the Courage of Character to humbly admit to the lack of candor and inadequate counsel that Julie received. Thank you for this (although heartbreaking 💔) INTRIGUING and INSPIRING Podcast❣️ Keep up the GREAT WORK‼️
